Herat University Lecturers Learn e-Learning

30 July 2009

Herat University lecturers learn how to search for teaching materials using google, google scholar, google books and the Afghan Digital Libraries and apply criteria for evaluating websites. Moreover, the lecturers learned the mechanics of creating content on an e-learning management system while learning about the pedagogy that underpins e-learning or blended learning or distance learning that makes use of Internet technologies. The lecturers learned to use the following course plug-ins--course content, file manager, and discussion forum. The training was conducted by Dr Maria Beebe and Mr Siar Mehri from Afghan eQuality Aliances on July 27-30, 2009.  The workshop will continue for another 5 days under the leadership of the Najeev Habibi, team leader of the Afghans Next Generation e-Learning (ANGeL) staff at Herat University.
